Katya is a combined hormonal contraceptive tablet used for pregnancy prevention. The pill contains ethinylestradiol and gestodene, which are imitation forms of the female oestrogen and progesterone hormones. Katya is also a good option for women who have heavy, painful, and irregular periods. It is taken for 21 days with a 7-day pill-free break, where a lot of women will get a withdrawal bleed, like a period.

Ethinylestradiol and gestodene are the two active ingredients in Katya pills. If taken as prescribed, Katya pills offer over 99% against pregnancy. Katya contains Ethinylestradiol and gestodene whose actions prevent ovulating and thicken cervical mucus. This makes it almost impossible for male sperm to get to the egg for fertilisation.
