Logynon is an oral contraceptive. As a triphasic combined pill, it changes the amount of levonorgestrel in one dose. This depends on the week in the cycle. It closely copies the natural hormonal cycle, which lessens some of the side effects linked with other oral contraceptives. Logynon ED has similar active ingredients as the regular Logynon tablets. however, it also includes seven extra inactive pills that you continue taking during your week break to maintain your regular routine.

Description

What Is Logynon and Logynon ED?

Logynon and Logynon ED are combined oral contraceptive pills used to prevent pregnancy. They contain synthetic versions of female sex hormones (levonorgestrel and ethinylestradiol). These hormones help regulate menstrual cycles and provide reliable contraception when taken as directed. You can find it in a Logynon 21-pill pack or a Logynon ED 28-pill pack. Both pills will give you over 99% protection from pregnancy if used the right way.

How Does Logynon Work?

Logyon helps to prevent ovulation, which subsequently prevents the production of eggs. It also leads to the building up of mucus in the cervix, thus blocking sperms from getting to the uterus. It also helps thin your uterus lining and makes it difficult for an egg that has been fertilized to be embedded into the wall of the uterus. These actions combine to provide effective contraception, with Logynon ED including placebo tablets to help maintain a regular pill-taking routine.
